Notes and Changes:
Beginning July 8, 2015 dispatches for emergencies to the fire department will no longer be using Code 1, 2, 3 or 4 with the exception of Code 5 (Radiation). The purpose is to follow the guidelines of the National Incident Management System (NIMS). During emergencies where multiple agencies (Fire, Police and Emergency Management) may be used for various reasons, it is recommended that plain English be used. According to the NIMS guideline
